Neuroscience

Connecting brain, behavior, and the methods that link them.

What counts as evidence: Behavioral data, existing imaging or physiological datasets, or careful literature synthesis.
  • Original imaging studies are rarely feasible for a first project — public datasets (OpenNeuro) often are.
  • Behavioral experiments (reaction time, memory tasks) are accessible with free software like PsychoPy.
  • Be precise about which level you're studying: molecular, cellular, systems, or behavioral.
  • Don't overclaim what a behavioral result says about underlying brain mechanism.
